Seton Hall Chapel Closing For Renovations on 1/1/08

After the first phase of exterior renovations was completed in September of 2005, the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception will close once again for continuing renovations to restore and renovate the interior of the chapel on January 1, 2008.

As part of the Heritage Building Campaign, which is a supplementary part of the University’s larger Ever Forward Campaign, the chapel will finally receive the restoration it needs and deserves. The restoration will prevent any further deterioration, highlight its historic significance, refurbish its inherent beauty and emphasize its hallowed position at the heart of Seton Hall University.

For more than 140 years, the chapel has been a rock of reassurance during uncertainty, a sanctuary of reflection away from worldly worries and a place of pleasant memories for those who have celebrated marriages, ordinations and baptisms within its walls.

We ask that if you or anyone you know may be interested in learning more about the restoration and renovation, or you would like to assist in funding opportunities, please call or email Pam Ferguson, Director, Catholic Initiatives at (973) 378-9845 or ferguspa@shu.edu.
