Sesquicentennial Birthday BashTo celebrate Seton Hall's 150th anniversary, the University hosted a weekend-long series of events, beginning Friday, September 30 and lasting through Sunday, October 2. On Friday night, the bands Loose and Third Eye Blind performed in the fieldhouse to scores of Seton Hall students, alumni and friends.
On Saturday morning, the 21st Annual Farinella 5K Run commenced the day's events. Following the race, a parade marched up South Orange Avenue to Seton Hall's campus, where University President Monsignor Robert Sheeran '67 kicked off the celebration of Seton Hall's 150th year.
Throughout Saturday, visitors enjoyed food, music, dancing, carnival rides and activities for people of all ages. On Saturday evening, Monsignor Sheeran hosted a private reception and elegant dinner on the rooftop of the parking deck. The evening concluded with an illuminating fireworks display, and the carnival rides stayed open into the night for Seton Hall students.
